Dr. Erik Jensen officially transferred to the Stiern Veterinary Hospital family in February 2026, coming to us from our sister practice, Southwest Veterinary Hospital. A true local at heart, Dr. Jensen was born and raised right here in Bakersfield on his family’s farm and ranch.

He earned his Undergraduate degree in Animal Sciences (Pre-Veterinary) at Fresno State University before receiving his Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine from Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine. To round out his extensive training, he also completed his clinical year at Oklahoma State University.

Having been involved in 4H since the age of five, Dr. Jensen remains deeply passionate about the organization and continues to dedicate his time to it today. When he isn’t at the hospital, he stays close to his roots by horseback riding and raising club lambs for the Kern County Fair. Erik is incredibly excited to serve the community that raised him and is honored to care for the pets of the neighbors who helped him become the person he is today.
