Dr. Ingrid Zaleski grew up in Lancaster, CA. She completed her undergraduate education at University of California, Davis in the field of Animal Science. She then went on to receive her doctorate of veterinary medicine from Western University of Health Sciences. Amidst her studies, Dr. Zaleski received honors as a silver member of the Veterinary Business Management Association.
In addition to western veterinary medicine, Dr. Zaleski has branched out and received her veterinary acupuncture certification from the Chi Institute of Traditional Chinese Veterinary Medicine. She now offers her patients an alternative eastern medicine which has the ability to provide a higher quality of life for those patients with chronic conditions. She is excited to combine Traditional Chinese Veterinary Medicine techniques alongside more conventional Western Veterinary Medicine. Other professional interests include surgery, internal medicine, and dermatology.
When able, she enjoys traveling internationally and working on humanitarian projects to help communities in need. Her recent travels include Nicaragua, Ecuador, and South Africa. She hopes to continue to work with World Vets to bring needed veterinary services to underprivileged communities.
At home, Dr. Zaleski looks after her “little farm” consisting of Milo and Bart (Retired Research Beagles), Auggie and Ralph (Dumbo Rats), Cornelia (New Zealand Rabbit), and Clyde (Amazon Parrot). She is delighted to be serving the Bakersfield area and looks forward to improving the lives of the animals in her care.
